OU SPS activities throughout the year include faculty lab tours, research talks, graduate school preparation talks, study sessions, and public outreach activities at elementary schools, as well as several events which mix fun with education, such as the Annual Spring Picnic, SPS Halloween Party (featuring "Dr. Indestructo"), and the biweekly "Fortnightly Friday Physics Flix". The OU Society of Physics Students maintains an internet message board to encourage communication between physics majors, and is currently in the process of building up our website to include a showcase of undergraduate physics research at OU. There, they do physics and engineering demos in an effort to foster an active interest and fascination in science among elementary school children.
