 SPS will provide drinks & Burgers/Buns
 Sean will send mass email to members regarding the event
Callout
 SPS will attempt to have Shipsey @ the callout, see if he has time next week
 We will have the callout sometime next week
 Possibility of a game night after the callout
 Pizza will be provided
Mentor/Mentee Program
 Mentors will try to email and decide on a time/place for them to meet w/ mentees
 Try to make this a real program this year, since previous years it hasn’t worked
Outreach & the Well
 Freshman Projects possibly starting next semester for 272, Triano will go talk w/
Neumeister to see if they will have projects
 American Chemical Society joint SPS outreach program
o Go to local schools to show them the wonders of science w/ demos
o Funding: College of Science, SPS, ACS seems to know where to find it
 Possible projects we could have for the demos: Bed of nails (Turczi says he can make the
bed), non-newtonian fluids, triple point water, anything else that really comes to mind tell

Professor Talks
 Dinner at professor’s house possibility?
 Dinner on campus, not pizza
 Professor lunches provided for the colloquia
 Pugwash talks & colloquia
Chess Tournament w/ chess club

New Shirts
o A design by Jamie Burdeski, which is like a mechanic shirt with MOJO on the
back
o More designs to see what is good, a t-shirt design contest will probably decide
this
Overnight/Events
 3 this year
 SPS needs large events early
 At least a minimum of 1 event per week
o Try not to go for movie nights
o Turczi hates movie nights
o Do not plan events on big test/event days




Triano, Turczi, Adrian, Zohar, Ross, anyone else who spends club money will get
together to talk budget in more detail
We do have about $3,000, so try to mandate a surplus

o Marisa & Olander’s may change hands depending on their frequency at the
lounge

Soto will be creating a computer w/ flat screen that will control all those within SPS, he
bought parts for $300 and will be building it.
