Task
Evaluate a network based on configuration management documentation such as,
wiring schematics, physical and logical network diagrams, baselines, policies and
procedures and configurations to network devices and infrastructure, update wiring
schematics, physical and logical network diagrams, configurations and job logs as
needed
Prerequisite
Complete several hours of study with Network Fundamentals textbook and completing lab
activities in LabSim CBT. Additional tasks may apply
Purpose:
Students who successfully complete this task will have a better understanding of the lifelong
educational opportunities that exist within the college of Computer Science. Related career
responsibilities for this task are also identified within the information technology discipline.
Graduate students that hold a bachelor's degree in computer science may explore the following
careers related to this task (by degree). Successful completion of this task will enable students
to obtain enough experience to perform this task and related task in the field.
Safety Factors
All classroom and student handbook policies apply to this task. Student will comply with
established acceptable use policies regarding their personal computer at all times. No food or
drink is allowed within the designated computer laboratory

Objective
Given a scenario, the student will compare wiring schematics, physical and logical network
diagrams, baselines, policies and procedures and configurations to network devices and
infrastructure with (80%) accuracy based on the CompTia certification domains and the Institute
of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Given a scenario, the student will update wiring schematics, physical and logical network
diagrams, configurations and job logs as needed with (80%) accuracy based on the CompTia
certification domains and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
