The Loire valley offers a great variety of history
and culture. Only 1½ hours to Paris. Ancient
towns, picturesque villages, beautiful
farmlands. Vineyards producing word famous
wines. Loire river is Europe’s last wild river.

Vézelay, a 3 * area full of history.
The Morvan is an unspoilt area of natural
beauty, loads of breath-taking sceneries and
wildlife.
Beautiful rolling hillsides and valleys, historic
towns and tranquil villages, at the doorstep of
Dijon has excellent market, good shops and
interesting architecture. Canal de Bourgogne.
Autun, good departure point for Morvan
discovery. The town itself offers golf course,
sailing and year-round activities.
Always something going on in the beautiful
vineyards. Canal du Centre & Voie Verte (green
highway). Châlon s/Saône is 2nd city in
Burgundy.

Bargains to be found in the

Certain areas are 1 hour
away from the cities:
Dijon/Auxerre.
A little moisture in the
forests of the Morvan.
The areas around Dijon can
be more expensive. The
higher areas (hill tops) can
be colder in winter.
It is an hour to the
motorway and 30 min. to
the TGV station.
Beaune is expensive, but
entertaining.
