Assignments: BEFORE CLASS THURSDAY
1. Read DiYanni pp. 27-37 and pp.86-90. Write out complete sentence
answers to questions 1,2,3 on page 90. Write a well-developed
paragraph reaction to “Araby” and “A & P.” (at least 10 sentences).
2. Write a 500-600 word essay using concrete details about a crush which
you have experienced. Do a strict word count…include the word
count IN YOUR HEADING. I will not accept papers over 600
words. REMEMBER to use action verbs, sensory details, adjectives,
adverbs, and transitions.
