Lab 3 Blood
1. Blood Type– esp blood cells pictures, blood composition, antigens and antibodies for each blood type

4 Hematocrit – Know how to determine hematocrit, what’s a normal hematocrit, what’s abnormal
5 Know what hemoglobin is, where it is, how it binds to oxygen
(ie w/ iron in heme grp)
8 ABO Blood typing
Know how to use Anti A and Anti B antibodies to determine blood type
9 Demonstration slides – blood pathologies – leukemia, sickle cell anemia, pernicious anemia
10 Cholesterol test –
Know how to determine cholesterol level, what’s high cholesterol, what’s normal
