VOCABULARY/STEMS FLASHCARDS (DUE TUESDAY—TEST WEDNESDAY)
VOCABULARY FLASHCARDS (10 TOTAL)
Directions: Make a flashcard for each word. For each card, write the word on the front. On the back, draw a horizontal
and vertical line, making four boxes on the card. In the top left, write the definition. In the top right, write a synonym (a
word with the same or nearly the same meaning). In the bottom left, write an antonym (a word with the opposite or nearly
the opposite meaning—if a word doesn’t have an antonym, write a word that is very different). In the bottom right, write a
sample sentence using the word. See your vocabulary definitions homework for meanings. See the dictionary, thesaurus,
and/or the Internet for synonyms, antonyms, and sample sentences (you may write your own or find one).
