How to check if a Payment has been made
Go to:
Transaction Code FBL1N
Menu Path: Accounting, Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Account,
Display/Change Line Items
In the vendor account, enter the vendor number if known, if not use the search box to find it
i.e. Chubb - 700280
Then you have a choice of choosing open items (i.e. invoices are on SAP waiting to be paid),
or entering Clearing or Posting Dates. I think it is best to click in the choose Posting Dates
box and entering dates around the invoice date (i.e. invoice date is 26.03.09 so enter dates
01.02.09 to 30.06.09)
When you execute this, you will be taken into all invoices and payments for the vendor in the
time period specified (you may need to change the dates if you do not find the invoice you are
looking for)
The reference column relates to the invoice number, so you need to find the invoice you are
looking for and if there is a number in the “clrng doc” box, it means the invoice has been paid,
and shows the date it was sent. Write down the clearing document number (2000…)
Click on the line to go into the document, and in the Pmt Method there should be a C or B (C
means Cheque payment, B means BACS Payment) if the box is empty and there is no

clearing document number, no payment has been generated, otherwise click on the clearing
document number beginning 2000 or go to:
Transaction Code: FB03
Menu Path: Accounting, Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Document, Display
In the Document number box enter the clearing document number, and enter UON1 into the
company code box and hit enter.
This will show you the full payment amount of the invoice:
To get the other invoices paid to the company click on environment on the toolbar, and
choose payment usage
This will now show you all the invoices paid in the payment, and the clearing date which you
can then print for use as a remittance.
If the payment was been paid by Cheque, go to Environment, and Check Information to get
the Cheque number and date it was raised.
