A database has been used to replace a flat file information storage and retrieval system.

An advertisement for an IT support worker to join the System Development team in a
company specifies that the applicant must be “willing to work flexible hours, be able to
communicate well orally, have good written skills, and get on well with a wide variety of
people”.
Explain, giving examples, why each of these characteristics is important for someone
working in such a role.

“In a Car Rental Process, there are two conditions that a client must qualified. Only when
the client has driving licence and has paid a deposit of RM200 that he or she can borrow the
car.”
Based on case above, create a decision table to model the solution logic.

“The purpose of the Open Road Insurance System is to provide automotive insurance to car
owners. Initially, customers are required to fill out an insurance application request. A
driver’s record request is sent to the local police department, which sends back a driver’s
record report. Also, a vehicle registration request is sent to the department of motor vehicles,
which supplies a vehicle registration. Various insurance companies send policy contracts.
The agent determines the best policy for the type and level of coverage designed and gives
the customer a copy of the insurance policy along with an insurance coverage card. The
customer information is now stored (filed in a computerized system). Periodically, a fee's
statement is generated, which along with addendums to the policy is sent to the customer,
who responds by sending in a payment with the fee stub.”

Based on the case above, create a Data Flow Diagram (DFD) to model the process solution.

“Pick and Shovel Construction Company is a multi-state building contractor specializing in
medium-priced town homes. Assume that Pick and Shovel’s main entities are its customers,
employees, projects and equipment. A customer can hire the company for more than one
project, and employees sometimes work on more than one project at a time. Equipment,
however, is assigned to only one project at a time.”
Based on case above, create an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) to model the conceptual
data.

A multimedia authoring tool prepares an important framework for arranging and editing the
elements of a multimedia projects. It is used to design interactivity and user interface by
integrating the multimedia elements to become a solid project.

Explain two advantages and two disadvantages of the authoring tool which you have
mentioned.

A multimedia application can be developed for the use of presentation, web sites and
distributed in Compact Disks (CD). Explain four features of effective multimedia
application.

You are a multimedia web developer and a client has given you the following description of
the site they want to create. :
The site is for the Roslan’s Nasi Lemak One Stop Shop, and is designed 3to advertise
the shop and its Nasi Lemak. Is should include information about the shop itself , Nasi
Lemak and all types of Sambal available for purchase. It should include pictures of the shop,
rice, peanuts, anchovy, as well as some packages of Nasi Lemak. It should also include a
video showing the Nasi Lemak making process. It should also include an animated page
containing images of Nasi Lemak package, so that when the user clicks on the package, it
opens and shows the complete set of Nasi Lemak. Finally, the site should include an order
form for interested client to fill in online.

“ Proses Sewa Kereta memerlukan dua syarat yang mesti dipenuhi oleh pelanggan.
Syaratnya ialah pelanggan mestilah mempunyai lesen memandu dan telah membayar wang
pendahuluan sebanyak RM200. Jika syarat ini dipenuhi barulah pelanggan tersebut
dibenarkan untuk menyewa kereta tersebut “
Berdasarkan kes di atas, bina jadual keputusan untuk memodelkan logik penyelesaiannya.

“Tujuan Sistem Insuran Jalanraya Terbuka ialah untuk menyediakan kemudahan insuran
motor kepada pemilik kereta baru. Langkah pertama ialah pelanggan perlu mengisi borang
permohonan insuran. Rekod permohonan pelanggan akan dihantar ke Jabatan Polis yang
kemudiannya akan menghantar semula laporan rekod pemandu kereta tersebut.
Permohonan Pendaftaran kereta juga akan dihantar ke Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan yang
akan memberikan nombor pendaftaran kereta tersebut. Beberapa syarikat insuran akan
menghantar kontrak polisi mereka. Ejen insuran akan menentukan jenis polisi yang sesuai
dan seterusnya memberikan pelanggan salinan polisi insuran berserta kad jaminan insuran.
Maklumat pelanggan akan disimpan di dalam sistem. Dalam masa yang tertentu, penyata
yuran akan dikeluarkan dan diberikan kepada pelanggan beserta dengan maklumat
tambahan polisi.
Berdasarkan kes diatas, bina Rajah Aliran Data untuk memodelkan penyelesainan proses.

“Syarikat Pembinaan Pick Dan Shovel adalah kontraktor pembinaan bangunan khususnya
bagi rumah kos seherhana. Anggapkan entiti utama Pick and Shovel ialah pelanggan,
pekerja, projek dan peralatan. Pelanggan boleh mengupah syarikat untuk lebih dari satu
projek. Pekerja kadangkala bekerja untuk lebih dari satu projek dalam satu masa.
Peralatan pula hanya dikhaskan untuk satu projek sahaja dalam satu masa.
Berdasarkan kes diatas, bina Rajah Hubungan Entiti untuk memodelkan data konseptual.

pengguna dengan cara menggabungkan semua unsure multimedia bagi menghasilkan projek yang
berkesan.

Aplikasi multimedia boleh dihasilkan untuk penggunaan persembahan, laman web dan juga
boleh diedarkan dalam bentuk cakera padat. Jelaskan 4 ciri-ciri aplikasi multimedia yang berkesan.

Anda adalah pembangun laman web multimedia. Pelanggan anda telah memberikan
penerangan mengenai laman web yang perlu anda bina.
Laman web ini ialah untuk Kedai Nasi Lemak Roslan yang bertujuan untuk
mengiklankan kedai tersebut dan Nasi Lemaknya. Laman web tersebut mesti mengandungi
maklumat tentang kedai itu sendiri, Nasi Lemak dan pelbagai jenis Sambal yang dijual. Ia
juga mesti memaparkan gambar kedai, nasi lemak, kacang, ikan bilis dan beberapa
bungkusan Nasi Lemak. Video yang menunjukkan cara penghasilan Nasi Lemak juga perlu
dimasukkan. Begitu juga dengan animasi bungkusan Nasi Lemak yang akan memaparkan
rupa kandungan Nasi Lemak yang lengkap apabila pengguna klik pada bungkusannya.
Akhir sekali, laman tersebut juga perlu mempunyai borang pesanan untuk memudahkan
pengguna membuat pesanan secara atas talian.
