Job Summary:
Coordinates Houston Operations support to the foreign locations; Ensures the accomplishment of
planned objectives through development and monitoring of rig operating standards and practices,
budgets, project planning, and safety performance
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:















Coordinates and ensures that the resources available from the various U.S. based departments
are being effectively utilized by our foreign operations; Ensures that this support is adequately
focused on achieving our corporate goals in our remote foreign locations
Leads efforts to support our HSE Policy Statement, ensuring commitment to an injury free
workplace by providing adequate resources to ensure a superior HSE culture is provided and
common HSE industry standards and regulatory requirements are met, application of appropriate
levels or Risk Analysis are implemented, employees participate fully in all HSE process and
causes of incidents are identified and communicated
Maintains a strong and consistent reporting relationship with other support departments
Provides input to management for the development and refinement of operating procedures
Promotes and monitors use of preventive maintenance programs, inventory control programs,
supply chain management and other tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce
equipment downtime; Compiles monthly downtime reporting
Improves the Company’s systems, processes, policies, and procedures in interest of meeting the
needs of our customers
Visits all rigs within area of responsibility regularly and ensures active communications with all
Hercules Offshore personnel
Supports management with correction of equipment problems and operational issues; Monitors
the performance of the equipment, technologies and practices currently utilized on board and
others available in the marketplace in order to promote efficient operation and maximize
profitability, reliability and safety
Compiles and assists in development of annual operating and capital expenditure budgets and
prepares periodic forecasts
Reviews and coordinates approval of all project level expenditures
Monitors daily operations of all foreign rigs and prepares weekly operations summary reports
Maintains current, accurate rig descriptions
Maintains foreign spare capital equipment inventories
Maintains accurate and reliable foreign drill pipe inventories
Performs additional duties as directed

Qualifications:







5 + years of industry experience required and must be competent and familiar with operation of
all types of jack-up drilling rigs
2 + years as a Rig Manager and/or related experience in HSE, Engineering or Technical Support
preferred
College education desired but not required if candidate has extensive management, leadership
and industry related work experience
Good presentation skills are necessary to project a professional image when communicating with
employees, or client personnel
Must have a good understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office products such as Word,
Excel, Outlook and Power Point
Good written communication skills are required for production of reports and other required
documentation
Planning, problem-solving, organizational and management skills are required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
