Each lamp only uses 14% of the energy that a traditional lamp uses.We have an active recycling policy with the result that only 15% of the Gallery’s waste by volume goes to landfill. - Last summer we installed four colonies of honeybees on the roof of our office building in response to their declining population in the UK. - We are always searching for new ways to continue to reduce energy use and welcome further suggestions from the public. www.npg.org.uk/sustainability Beyond the Gallery The Gallery works collaboratively with museums, galleries and historic houses around the country to loan works as part of a varied programme of touring exhibitions, displays and events.
