Project Officer – Healthy Journeys
Thank you for your interest in the above post.
This new project is funded by The Transformation Fund, Glasgow City Reshaping Care
Partnership and aims to improve access to NHS appointments and other health-related
services for isolated older people in the North East of Glasgow who would not be able to
attend otherwise due to transport difficulties. A secondary aim is to improve access to a
range of other local services for isolated older people.
The successful candidate will develop a new volunteer car scheme, recruiting and
supporting volunteer drivers to transport isolated older people to and from NHS
appointments and other health-related services. S/he will have experience of working with
older people and managing volunteers, ideally gained in a healthcare or transport setting.

Terms and Conditions (extract)
 21 hours per week, occasional out of hours working
 Post funded until 28 February 2015 in the first instance
 Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 pro rata, depending on experience
 Annual Leave Entitlement: 20 days pro rata per annum (April to March)
 Public Holidays: 12 days pro rata per annum
