SIGNATURE …………………………………………………………………………… DATE This completed form should be returned to: Community Services, Allerdale Borough Council, Allerdale House, New Bridge Road, Workington, CA14 3YJ ALLERDALE BOROUGH COUNCIL Appendix 1 PITCHES - CONDITIONS OF LETTING 1 The Pitch will be let at a fee of £100 (senior price) per season. 2 Agreement must be reached by representatives acting for each of the clubs who have permission to use any given site as to the dates and times each club will use the pitch during the season. Confirmation of these dates then need sent to the Sport and Leisure Officer at Allerdale Borough Council. 3 Sub-letting of the pitch is prohibited. 4 The pitch shall be used for home games in connection with league and friendly fixtures only and for training purposes. 5 The letting will be prepared for 10 months usage based on the normal sporting season (2 months resting period – No playing/training to take place on football pitches during June and July* and on rugby league pitches during December and January). * Unless it is for an affiliated summer league which will be looked at on an individual request basis. 6 The club will be responsible for and must make good any damage caused to the pitch over and above fair wear and tear. 7 The Council need to be informed of any changes of the Clubs circumstances in relation to the use of the pitch. 8 The Council may from time to time need to use the pitch for other purposes and therefore it will not be available to the club on those dates. The Council will inform the club of these dates at least 2 weeks in advance. 9 The pitch may be deemed out of use due to health and safety reasons. If this is the case, the club will be informed as soon as possible and must not be used until the club have received notification from the Council that it can be used again. INSURANCE COVER 1. ACCIDENT/INJURY The Club will indemnify the Council against all claims, demands, actions or proceedings of whatsoever nature in respect of any death or injury sustained by any person (except death or personal injury caused by the negligence or breach of statutory duty of the Council its servants, agents or employees), which shall occur whilst such person is on any part of the premises or land of the Council hired to the Club (or used by the Club) during the time that such premises or land of the Council is being used by the Club. The Club must have their own insurance cover. Please enclose a copy of your Clubs insurance certificate. 2. DAMAGE TO PROPERTY The Club will be held responsible for any damage caused to the premises or land hired to or used by the Club, other than normal wear and tear, and will pay any reasonable charges levied by the Council in respect of such damage, and will indemnify the Council against all claims, demands, actions or proceedings in respect of any damage to the property of any third party, whether on or off the premises or land hired to or used by the Club, in either case, where such damage is caused by negligence or deliberate acts on the part of the Club, its players, opponents or guests.
