PART II – CE DUTIES Post Context: CJ6 Branch is responsible for the provision of NATO Information Systems and Communications in Afghanistan to support the mission of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). Depot 26 provides depot level supply and maintenance for Communication Information Systems (CIS) under the NATO CIS Services Agency (NCSA), Joint Force Command Headquarters (JFC HQ) Brunssum and ISAF HQ CJ6 guidance to meet COMISAF priorities of CIS supply, repair and asset distribution and to maintain property accountability. The WAREHOUSE & RECEIPT/DISPATCH SUPERVISOR is responsible for the efficient operation of the Depot 26 warehouse and receipt and dispatch of all CIS material. Will supervise posts IJC OPSDEP 0040/0060/0070. Reports to: Chief Supply Operations and Accounting Officer and in his/her absence to the Capital Equipment Control Specialist. Principal Duties: 1 NATO UNCLASSIFIED NATO UNCLASSIFIED - - - - - Assists in the accounting of ISAF owned CIS property at HQ ISAF, Kabul Multi National Brigade (KMNB), Kabul International Airport (KAIA), Regional Commands (RC), Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRT), Forward Support Bases (FSB) and such other locations as so designated in accordance with NCSA instructions. Responsible for the correct receipt, storage, issue, ordering and stock control of the total supply inventory including repairable and non-repairable communications equipment within the depot. Responsible for the correct warehousing of depot stock, accurate labelling of stock locations and the proper environmental storage of material. Will maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse. Must be capable of operating all normal warehouse handling aids including fork lift trucks and heavy goods vehicles. Responsible for the accurate input of information to the NATO Depot Support System (NDSS) computer in order that receipts and issues are processed in accordance with current procedures. Responsible for preparing manifests and co-ordinating shipments to and from Depot 26. Deputy for the Repair/Exchange Specialists in their absence. Responsible for the accurate inventory of all depot stock every 6 months. Responsible for proper coordination of preparing shipments, shipment manifests, liaison with Joint Theatre Movement Centre (JTMS), CLD Brunssum, Combined Air Terminal Operations (CATO), Base Support Group (BSG) Transport and NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA). Additional Duties: - The incumbent may be required to perform such other related duties as may be directed. Will be required to perform at a basic level all other depot positions as necessary. May be required to travel for official duty within and outside ISAF Joint Operations Area. PART III - QUALIFICATIONS Essential Qualifications: Professional / Experience: - Must have experience with automated supply control procedures. Must have a national military drivers licence and forklift licence. Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Must have a minimum of three years experience in the operation of a CIS warehouse. Basic knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and network equipment and CIS in general. Education / Training: 2 NATO UNCLASSIFIED NATO UNCLASSIFIED - - Must have attended NATO Depot Supply Systems (NDSS) courses at NAMSA in Luxembourg and have a reasonable amount of proven competence at the Regional Depot Supply Systems (RDSS), Stock Management, Maintenance Control and Management System (MCMS), NATO Depot Supply Systems Property Accounting Module (PAM). Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Security Clearance: NATO SECRET Language Mandatory Proficiency: English: 3333 The normal working language within the organisation is English for all written and oral work. Education / Training: N/A Language: Desirable Proficiency: English: CIVILIAN POST Personal Attributes: 3 NATO UNCLASSIFIED NATO UNCLASSIFIED - Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision. Must be highly motivated and able to produce quality results. Managerial Responsibilities: - Will be routinely responsible for the supervision of 3 personnel in the traditional warehouse and Receipt & Dispatch functions. Must be capable of assuming the responsibilities of the senior staff of the depot in their absence to include the Chief Supply Operations and Accounting Officer. Professional Contacts: - - On an as required basis maintains regular professional contact with HQ ISAF Branches that affect daily operations at all levels to resolve problems and to exchange information. Must establish good contacts with the staff at the parent depot in Brunssum and with both military and civilian personnel within ISAF particularly the Signals Support Group. Must also establish good contacts with outside vendors and suppliers. Contribution to the Objectives: - Is an essential link to the mission. Will be required to provide responsive turnaround of critically needed items and the quality control must be of the highest order. Must ensure that the stock is accurately located and safeguarded (both physically and environmentally) so as to maintain the highest availability of the limited CIS spares. Will be required to travel if necessary to effect deliveries and for inventory and will be required to make out of working hours issues. Work Environment: - High pressure, long work hours in a multinational and multicultural environment. Current working conditions are very sub optimal in a building exposed to the vagaries of the extreme Afghan weather. Remarks: - - Only applications from candidates meeting essential requirements and possessing valid certificates/ diplomas will be taken into consideration.
