ROLE PURPOSE:

The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) will be responsible for achieving 95% customer satisfaction throughout our delivery and supply chain management processes while constantly monitoring economic impact on overall company profitability. This position will work with multiple 3 rd party production, conditioning and logistics locations for all crops. Collaboration between multiple departments to achieve accurate on-time supply utilization while minimizing interplant transfers .

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Owns Quality Plan. Interfaces with Product Management to develop and implement process specified by the plan.

Accountable for all state seed and regulatory licensing requirements. Interface with legal and Product Management resources as needed.

Responsible for in-field seed contracts with third party production companies including inspection to ensure quality requirements are met.

Monitors forecasted supply vs. demand, and provide information to Product Management and Customer Care for decision and action.

Publish weekly For Sale Notices for all products across all sales regions during the sales season.

Work with Customer Care to maintain order positions by sales area with orders being taken against specific forecasted quantities. Know our position (supply vs. demand, and remaining supply available to order) at all times.

Manage interplant transfers as needed to optimize supply efficiency and profitability

Work with 3 rd party providers to rework (rebag, treat, over treat) inventory as needed for on time delivery per the company

Quality Plan

Review, and assist in negotiations of services needed and rates charged by 3 rd party logistic locations

Conduct annual trucker training meetings to set clear expectations and RSC representation requirements

Arrange return process for allowable products in the field, as well as to all product suppliers.

Follow up on all issues that arise from the delivery, quality and packaging processes so improvements are made and issues resolved

Meet annual delivery volume goals by unit total and date completed for each 3 rd party provider

Responsible for all packaging needs including bags, seed tags and other supplies as necessary to support owned and vendor managed items.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Working Conditions:

This positions time will be primarily in an office environment. When traveling to 3 rd party provider and in-field production locations one should expect to experience normal weather conditions to include wide temperature ranges depending upon the time of year. Exposure to pollen, dust and other allergens normal agriculture production to be expected.
