Fishing Tourney
Beautiful mountain scenery, clean cold trout water, bright blue sky, a well-placed fly………
Private spring fed lakes and streams of the region produce nice catches of trophy rainbow trout to
anglers practicing their new fly-fishing skills. Your group will be split into teams of experienced and
novice anglers where they will then have to work together to get each anger in the group to catch
their trophy rainbow trout. Our instructors are the best in the west in teaching all aspects of flyfishing that every person in your group can participate in.
Sporting clays shoot out
There is nothing like the experience and powerful feeling after hitting your first clay target with a 20
or 12 gauge shot gun. Our guides have the expertise to instruct safe firearm handling skills, theory in
hitting the air born target and then teaching how to shoulder and swing a gun onto target to
produce results.
Teams are assigned and members have to assist and coach other team members to succeed for the
team score.
The sporting clays course takes individuals out of their normal environment and comfort zone and
introduces a new skill that they will never forget and be able to share with their teammates for a
long time.
Golf Tourney
Taos Country Club is a very nice links style course back dropped by the Sangre de Cristo and the Rio
Grande Gorge. Teams are assigned and started shotgun style with best score records.
Fishing Tourney and Sporting Clays Shootout and/ or Golf Tourney make a really fun Combo
tourney with two separate skill sets for a team tournament format.
Tipi Building
The Comanche once visited Taos to trade in the Rio Grande valley and left the knowledge of their
lodge – the tipi- and all that it stood for. Your tribe will be broken down into clans specializing in
engineering and setting up a tipi, traditional decoration of the lodge expressing clan preferences and
the providers that will prepare native fare to nourish the hard working tribal group.
Taos Ski Valley NASTAR ski race or ski experience day

learn to work together instructing each other and then competing directly with other group ski
teams on the NASTAR racecourse for an official score.

Taos or Northern New Mexico Historical and Natural Science Fact Finding Mission
Historical, cultural and natural science fact-finding mission that will challenge any group of thinkers.
Why come all the way to New Mexico without understanding all the facts of the region?
We run this activity on foot walking from the hotel down on to the historic plaza area or from
vehicles driven by SFGC guides or company staff out in to the surrounding northern New Mexico
region. The historical, cultural and natural science fact finding mission really gives your participants
the opportunity to get out and explore and experience what Taos and New Mexico have to offer.
Ropes Course Challenge
Our ropes course is a multi-dimensional, experience-based tool utilized for teambuilding and
personal growth opportunities for your participants. The Challenge Course Experience is designed
to be a safe, challenging, rewarding and fun experience for all participants regardless of their physical
or mental abilities. The activities/elements are found in a maze of poles, ropes, and cables and
require a group to work together to solve problems, help each other overcome perceived limits and
produce a sense of exhilaration and accomplishment. While the elements are often thought of as
being “physical” any person willing to participate can do so through the cooperative efforts of the
group. Typically, elements/activities last between 15 to 60 minutes in length and are followed by a
discussion/reflection period to allow participants an opportunity to stop the action and reflect on
the skills and lessons learned by doing the activity.
Paintball War
Paint Ball is very popular with adventure and competitive minded groups. Our Team oriented
scenarios are created to bring together cooperation through communication and planning skills
followed by execution if a team wants to win. Each team will compete directly in this competition
of wit and strategy while taking cover in the wild and natural surroundings of the Rocky Mountains.
The teams will take turns being the aggressor or defender of the flag and have several opportunities
to get their attack and defense strategies right. Each participant will be equipped with the latest
weapons with plenty of ammo, protective safety gear and cover clothing.
Rio Grande White Water Rafting
With spring and midsummer snowmelts, the Rio produces class III and IV rapids that will challenge
any group of adventure seekers. Each boat has a captain (guide) that instructs his crew how to steer
and negotiate the rapids under his control forming the perfect team.
Working together is a must to avoid obstacles and a cold dousing in the Rio and always brings
together a close-knit team brought together by the new experiences and adventure.
