Regarding clinical work: Students are trained to conduct psychosocial and diagnostic evaluations, learn evidence based treatments such as dialectical behavior therapy, seeking safety, motivational interviewing and 2 Document1 relapse prevention along with supportive and psychodynamically informed approaches. Students learn how to integrate psychiatric and recovery approaches in the delivery of care. Students are also trained in how to document patient care and how to collaborate with other health-care and social service providers on behalf of the patient. Regarding assessment: Students are trained to administer, score and interpret diagnostic, neuropsychological and personality assessments, write integrated reports based on their findings and provide feedback to patients and clinical staff to enhance treatment planning and treatment effectiveness. Students will also provide results to interdisciplinary treatment team to enhance case conceptualization and treatment planning. Students will participate with research team in learning how to translating assessment data into meaningful clinical and research reports. What training does the agency offer in providing culturally sensitive services? Agency provides a minimum of 4 plus hours a year of cultural competency training. We also provide directed reading and supervision on how culture influences the selection of assessment measures and interpretation of results.
