This lean right-wall doubles superstar and former PSA top-50 has 19 tour victories in his ledger,
the first three during the 2005-06 season with Preston Quick as his partner prior to the 16 that
he and Paul Price have amassed during the past three-plus years, including the 2007 and 2009
North American Open, the 2007 Briggs Cup and the World Doubles crown that these two Australian
contemporaries (born just six months apart in 1976) annexed with a four-game final-round
win over Englishmen Clive Leach and John Russell this past May in San Francisco. Gould and Price,
who singularized themselves as the team that finally ended the eight-year ISDA-tour domination
of the Gary Waite/Mudge dynasty by displacing The Champs at No. 1 during the 2006-07 season,
can be counted on to break fast out of the starting blocks (they won the first two tournaments in
2006-07 and the first three tournaments in 2008-09) and establish an overwhelming level of
early-season momentum. Married and living in Stamford, CT, Gould has been the head pro at
Racquet & Tennis for the last two years and enjoys reading, architecture, travel, golf,
real estate and music during his spare time.
