Mycorrhizal Fungi Inoculation for Turf or Sod Installation
PHC® Turf Saver™: PHC® Turf Saver™ is a dry, granular mycorrhizal fungi inoculant formulated for
turf installations and maintenance. It contains a “cocktail” blend of VA mycorrhizal (VAM) fungi and
rhizosphere bacteria with fertilizers and microbial nutrients to create a fertile root zone treatment for the
beneficial activities in the rhizosphere of turf. Turf Saver™ contains Colonize™, a proprietary stimulant of
VAM fungi to increase colonization rates of the grass roots. In addition, this product works effectively as a
biological soil remediation amendment.

Directions for Turf or Sod Installation: Prior to seeding or sodding, spread Turf Saver™ over the planting area
at a rate of 22 - Lbs per 1000 sq ft (10-Kg per 100 sq m). If sodding, lay sod directly over product. If seeding,
rake or rototill product into the top 2 inches (5-cm) of soil. At this rate, the product delivers about 66 spores
per sq ft combined with formononetin, a stimulant of VAM fungi colonization.
Proof of Compliance with Specifications: The contractor will demonstrate compliance by showing invoices to prove
purchase of product in sufficient quantity to cover the project at the rates recommended by the manufacturer. Include
project name, date of purchase of product, and name of contact.
