The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. in the Boardroom of the Hamilton
County Courthouse, Webster City, Iowa.
CALL TO ORDER:
Called to order by Chair Wes Sweedler.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Board led the Pledge of Allegiance.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
David Young, Doug Bailey, and Wesley Sweedler.
OTHERS PRESENT:

Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to approve the minutes of the the January 14, 2014 regular meeting.

REPORTS:
UPPER DES MOINES OPPORTUNITY, INC.: Mary Ohrtman and Jamey Whitney from UDMO presented
their annual report to the Board. UDMO is requesting $10,000 for FY’15. The Board took no action at this
time.
QUARTERLY REPORTS: Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to approve the Sheriff’s and the
Recorder’s Quarterly Reports for the quarter ending December 31, 2013. Motion carried.
2013 GROSS WAGE REPORT: Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to approve the Gross Wage Report
for those employed by Hamilton County in 2013. Motion approved.

delegate to the Mid Iowa Growth Partnership for a one year term. Motion carried.
HAMILTON COUNTY CONSERVATION BOARD: Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to appoint Diane
Sinclair of Blairsburg to the Hamilton County Conservation Board for a term of 5 years beginning 1/1/2014
thru 12/31/18. Motion carried.

RESOLUTION 2014-7 RUTF: Motion by Bailey, seconded by Young to approve Resolution 2014-7
supporting the ongoing evaluation of creative, supplemental solutions to increased RUTF funding. Roll
call vote:
Bailey, Young and Sweedler voting aye. Motion carried.
TENTATIVE AGREEMENT WITH PPME LOCAL 2003: Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to authorize
the chair to sign the tentative agreement and the final agreement between Hamilton County and PPME
Local 2003. Motion carried.
Motion by Bailey, seconded by Young to adjourn. Motion carried, meeting adjourned at 9:36 A.M.
