All new graduate students should arrive in Chicago in the week of August 13-17. The following orientations will give the new graduate students a head start. Entrance Exam/Placement Test (Medicinal Chemistry Only) Please note that there will be an entrance exam (placement test) in the Medicinal Chemistry graduate program on two topics: (1) Organic Chemistry (morning of Aug 24th) and (2) Biochemistry (afternoon of Aug 24th). The entrance exam is required, no exceptions, and no "re-takes". The test will be administered only ONE TIME on Friday, Aug 24th. The purpose of the entrance exam/placement test is to evaluate the overall academic level so that the DGS can recommend an appropriate set of classes for the Fall and Spring semesters of the first year.
