(Games can end in a tie) 2. IM soccer is governed by NCAA soccer rules with modifications. (see attached modifications). 3. In the standings, teams will get +2 points for a win, +1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss, and -1 points for a forfeit. 4. If a team forfeits more than two games, they are not eligible to compete in the championships. 5. The top four teams in the point total will compete for the championship. 6. Championship winning team members receive a t-shirt. Notes: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. All games played at Cunningham Fields – Rain or Shine Teams should wear similar colored shirts Team captain should fill out roster on score each player who is present that day. Changes to the roster can only occur between the first and second week of play. Players who are presently on Swarthmore’s varsity men’s and women’s soccer teams are not eligible to play in this league, regardless of when their season ends. They may only play in our spring 7 on 7 league 6. The time keeper / score keeper at each game will keep the time, record goals, and complete the score sheet. If no time keeper or score keeper is present, the winning team must complete a score sheet and submit it to the commissioner. IM Soccer Rules Modifications 1) The game shall be played by two teams of 11 players, one of which shall be the goalkeeper. 2) The minimum number of players required to begin a game shall be 7 players. A team must begin if at least 7 players are present. If a team drops below 7 players for any reason it shall be up to the team captains to decide if they want to continue with and equal number of players per side. 3) Games will begin at the designated time. If one of the scheduled teams is not present at the start time, 5 minutes will be allowed before a forfeit is granted to the opposing team. 4) Teams are required to wear similar colored jerseys or T-shirts. 5) Only athletic type running, court, or turf shoes with or without molded plastic or rubber cleats are allowed. All players must wear athletic shoes. No sandals, boots, or bare feet. All players must be dressed in appropriate athletic apparel – shorts, sweats, t-shirts, etc. 6) Starting the Game: The scorekeeper will conduct a coin toss. The winner will select offense or defense to start. 7) There will be no penalty kicks. 8) Substitutions can be on the fly, except during corner kicks. The existing player must be off the field completely before the sub enters. Free Agent Team 1. Because we had an odd number of teams sign up, we create a Free Agent team. The Free Agent team can be anyone who wants to show up during that time slot and play. That can be anyone on other teams, but usually others not assigned to a team. Games against the free agent team will always count as a win for the other team in the standings. We won’t keep point totals for the Free Agent team. 106757433
