Also the project must include information about (3) classes of mollusk, and (5) classes of arthropods. Must include a description of the animals within the phyla. What are the distinguishing characteristics? Could include how an organism eats, where it lives, or how it interacts with its environment. Must include at least one example of an organism found within the phyla. Must include at least three sources. (One source can be your text book). All information including images must be cited. Project Choices: Invertebrate Book: Format can vary. Ideas include a fact book, children’s story, or activity book. The book must meet the guidelines above. It should contain a page of information for each phyla or class. Must be made into a book with a front and back cover. Game: The format of the game can be original or it can be modeled after an existing game. Rules and game cards/pieces must be turned in with the final project. Aspects of the game must include the information required for the project. Poster: Information presented in the poster must be in your own words. Any images must be cited. Project information must be clearly present on the poster. Song: Printed lyrics that include the characteristics of the (8) phyla must be printed and turned in. The song must be performed in class or a “music video” must be shown as part of this option. Visual aids that include examples of organisms is encouraged. Other: An original project approved by the teacher. Project information must be included.
