2013 HYCAT “Tommy Bird” Capital City Classic Invitational Swim Meet
The following announcements regarding the swim meet need your attention:
[01] HYCAT will ask the coaches to approve moving the warm-ups for men’s 1650
freestyle from 06:45PM on Friday to 06:00PM with the event starting @
06:45PM
[02] HYCAT will ask the coaches to approve moving the warm-ups for “finals” from
03:45PM on Saturday & Sunday to 02:45PM with “finals” starting @ 03:55PM
both days
[03] Within this Meet Packet, you should have received a copy of this notice; a
copy of the Meet “Heat/Psych” Program; and your relay entry sheets
The swimmer's Coach and/or a Team Rep {OR “designated” representative}
needs to “check-in” with the HYCAT Clerk of Course at the location & times
listed below for ALL events to indicate any “scratches.” Your assistance
AND cooperation will be GREATLY appreciated!!!

[04] We ask that you remind your swimmers to report to the starting blocks “on
time” when their heat & event is being conducted, especially the 8 & under
swimmers on SAT/SUN afternoon We do not want to have to wait for a swimmer
to report to the starting blocks = THANK YOU!!!

[05] We will be utilizing the FINA starting procedures and the “no-recall” false
start at this meet.
[06] We ask that each coach {or a Swim Team Rep} stop by the HYCAT Scoring/
Awards room and pick-up their awards when the meet has been completed on
Sunday evening = THANK YOU!
[07] If you have a problem related to the conduct of the swim meet (DQ; “NO
SHOW” SWIMMER IN AN EVENT; SWIMMER ILLNESS; ETC; ETC), PLEASE see/talk to
Skip Hageboeck, Meet Referee or one of the designated Deck Referees
[08] Coaches/Officials Hospitality will be available SAT/SUN at the table on
the west side of the pool deck near the starting area (near the West
Virginia state flag). We invite the swim team coaches to visit the
hospitality area frequently!!!
** Friday, December 13th ... there will be a very limited hospitality
** Saturday/Sunday, December 14th-15th @ approximately 11:00AM or so
[09] PLEASE remind your swimmers and parents that the HYCAT Swimming Program
will provide a very limited concession area during the 1650 Free on
Friday and during the “finals” on Saturday or Sunday!
[10] According to our computer records, the following entry fees are UNPAID or
there is a BALANCE DUE as of 12/13/2013. Please submit a check made payable to “HYCAT” for the amount listed below = THANK YOU!!!
