$376.92. check matches invoice. Need to turn on and update laptop periodically. Should buy
new one in 2015. Suggested to buy protective container (bin) for safekeeping projector. John
rose to keep laptop separately in protective bin.

1. Deputy director positions up for nominations –finance, Honors & Awards;
Emily noted a Change Director-at-Large to Member-at-Large. Questionable but bob
Welge to confirm with national by-laws. Need to check councilmember-at-large.
2. Bob to email each member to verify do not email but can email about events.
Orange Coast College possible venue for no- charge events (Jim Martin); June 18th program
(Near earth objects observed with re-usable telescopes)postponed. John rose to check
renewal of Boeing Bldg. section meetings.

HDQRs plaque for Tobinette Holtz for her long-time service, more than 15 years.
YP Schulze: No activities for past two years. Rocket challenge for YPs. Former AP Physics teacher
to organize a $25,000 rocketry challenge for YPs; good contact person. RLC conference good
resource for YP activities.
Edcuation koepke: 3rd place middlae school team ; altimeter faulty and pleaded case for next
try. Peer judging for best design and
USC Liquid-rocket; solid-rocket; sugar-rocket testing.
Need mentors, computer programming tutors. To do summer science camp.
John rose (Technical). Can start planning speakers for next ASAT. Next ASAT will be May 02,
2014.
Kamal: will talk to elected representative. Rose noted changes
Decreased number of issues : Cyber-security; STEM ; industrial base. Four
State-focused initiatives.
Director-at-large( Omid) consider section Newsletter; time to write article ; can post on
facebook; can do constant contact on quarterly newsletters. Newsletter can include speaker
event recaps
