(en-SPR908dtr) PRESS RELEASE of the Weinig Group May 2005 Raimann: Better wood yield, less costs Weinig Group: Hall 12, Stand B-F 48 Within the Weinig Group Raimann stands for intelligent solutions for width cutting and optimization. At Ligna the company presents an abundance of novelties making the heavy-duty range of multi-blade circular saws once again significantly more productive and economical than before. New: Raimann ProfiRip KR 610 M with scanner The multi-blade buzz saw ProfiRip KR 610 M combines top performance with great flexibility and productivity. It achieves a feed speed of up to 80 m/min and is able to process large cross sections up to 610x140 mm. Up to 6 adjustable saw blades enable a unique wide variety of combinations and on account of the higher capacity a higher wood yield as well. The 6 adjustable saw blades are interesting for the user particularly in case of fully automatic cutting systems and a preceding scanner. Here Raimann has very successfully integrated a product of the American Weinig affiliate Control Logic. The scanner performs at the same time the optical board 1 measurement, the defect detection and the twodimensional optimization. As an absolute novelty at the Ligna the scanner is able to detect defects of edged as well as unedged material, define quality zones and tolerate defects in accordance with the application (e.g. in case of table-tops where defects at the under-side are no problem). As an extraction system Raimann shows a newly developed sliver separation that was nominated for the final at the Challengers Award for the best innovations in the USA. Better: Raimann ProfiRip KM 310 M The ProfiRip KM 310 is a multi-blade saw with a cut height of up to 120 mm, high feed speed and uncomplicated operation. On account of the patented Quickfix System the saw is set up within the shortest time. At the Ligna Raimann presents two different versions: One of them, the ProfiRip KM 310 is designed as a heavy-duty optimizing cut-off saw with two adjustable saw blades. In combination with the wood optimization system TimberMax for the best possible division of the workpieces a maximum wood yield is achieved. The operator only has to measure the board, TimberMax automatically adjusts the saw blades. The blade adjustment with an additional 2nd axle is new. The package system as a complete optimization system with TimberMax reserves a 2 special position on the market to the new ProfiRip KM 310M. Presently only one blade adjustment is available at other machines of the same performance category and no optimization solution is offered. At the Ligna the rip sawing of lamellas with a gluable cut is shown, The second Ligna machine is a ProfiRip KM 310 with Quickfix as a small size cutting plant. New is the integrated operational data collection. Better: Raimann ProfiRip KR 450 M The ProfiRip KR 450 represents the higher performance segment at Raimann. Cut heights of up to 140 mm can be realized. At the Ligna a ProfiRip KR 450 M is shown as a fully automated model with 4 adjustable saw blades. The integrated TimberMaxSystem takes care of maximal wood utilization by width optimization. New is the uncomplicated crookedness measuring for edged material preceding the machine. The measuring system can also be offered as a single system and therefore it is very interesting e.g. for sawmills selling board material. Feeding is done manually. A cross conveyor takes the material to be sawn to a newly developed feeding conveyor with adjustable fence. After the machine the wood moves into an outfeed conveyor. A robot puts the sawn parts onto individual pallets. The outfeed is designed consistent with the robot by a new rotary elevator system so 3 that a maximal number of boards can be guaranteed. Better: Raimann FlexiRip The longitudinal buzz saw FlexiRip JRIONline offers almost unlimited application opportunities when cutting solid wood and composite wood materials. At Ligna the new generation is shown that once more significantly increases the basic benefit of the machine. The quickly adjustable fence with digital display of the angular degree considerably reduces the set-up times. The closed sawing gap prevents that sawing waste reaches the machine frame and provides higher safety. In Hanover the FlexiRip can be seen as part of a sawing center with the integrated undercut swing saw FlexiCut 700. This system solution is ideally suited for cross-cutting and longitudinal cutting for smaller and medium-sized companies. Pre-trimming and cross-cutting of extremely crooked workpieces on the FlexiCut is demonstrated. Subsequently the FlexiRip deals with longitudinal cutting by hand and according to program. Cutting of stairs is demonstrated with the geometry being projected by laser on the material to be sawn.
