Collection Printings
A photography is not a unique. You can copy it an endless number. You can find it printed on
many different materials and it could have a lot of different size.Modified interpreted
subjected to the play of models and of the weaknesses of the various technique of
reproduction..
A printing is a unique.
No Printing is the same. Most of the time, the photographer himself do the job. But he could
ask another person which is automatically a friend and an artist as well.
The paper choice, the value of contrast, the densities of the turns has been determinate with
the greatest care by the artist himself.
The printing is the most succeded shape of the photographic work, the extreme expression of
the photographer work.
Dated signed and commented by the photographer himself. The printing is a work of art.
Began more than 20 years ago in United States and Japan first. The selling of original
printings is growing up.
Nowadays, auction sale are often organized in France and abroad. That gave more value to
this market.

Printing on cardboard, preserved with selenium of a format 40/50 cm under frame of 50/60
numbered from1 to 5: 650 euros
Printing on cardboard of a format: 30/40 cm under frame of 40/50numbered from1 to20
350 euros

1970 February 24th: Birth in Marseille
1988: First pictures
June 1991 : First work for « le journal de Toulouse » newspaper about Jessie Norman’s
concert in Toulouse. Publication in the first free information daily paper in Europe. Following
a 10 month contribution.
June 1992 : First picture about French triathlon championship in Toulouse nationally
broadcasted by AFP.
October 1995: Master’s degree in Art History on Magnum Photo. Theme of the dissertation:
“Is there a Magnum Spirit?” after 2 years of research and a 3 month trainee in Magnum
Agency- Paris.
March 1996: First photographer contract for the Photimprim postcards Society.
January 1998 : First exhibition in la FNAC Marseille about « Bosnian Gypsies refugees in
Marseille ». Debate was organised with people from Human rights league and from Amnesty

2000 : Birth of « l’atelier de l’image » association. First contribution in school environment:

2002 First TV show in order to promote the exhibition: « Marseille l’amour foot” in the

2003 First advertising campaign in Marseille’s streets for Euroméditérranée
2003 Creation of a CD (pictures, music and text) named « the builders » all rights to Dumez
Méditerranée society.
2004 Projection showed in the International Photo journalism festival in Perpignan « visa
