Society Development Plan 2012 - 15 Name of Society SOAPS Mission Statement As the SOAPS society (social and policy sciences) our aims are to provide both existing and new students with the opportunities to socialise with people who have similar interests to them. We aim to actively encourage increased fresher participation; establish a stronger communication link between the committee itself and similar committees; increase the profile of the society throughout the university; work to organise interesting and relevant guest speakers; strive to provide innovative and different socials; campaign to establish an anonymous feedback and suggestion system whereby students can influence their society; increase ties between students of all ages and promote a more all-inclusive society.
