EQUINE LIVERY AGREEMENT FOR UPLANDS EQUESTRIAN FACILITY
1.THIS AGREEMENT, for good and valuable consideration receipt of which is
hereby acknowledged,

hereinafter referred to as "STABLE", providing services as an independent
contractor, located at Uplands Equestrian Centre

hereinafter referred to as "OWNER." These parties warrant that they have the right
to enter into this AGREEMENT
2. STABLING FEES
2.1 A monthly stabling amount of R ____________ per horse per month paid by
OWNER in advance on the First day of each month, STABLE agrees to stable the
herein described horse (s) on a month to month basis commencing ____________,
20______.
2.2 Late Fees: Livery fees paid between the sixth and fifteenth day of the current
month due will be subject to a late fee of R350.00. Fees received after the sixteenth
will be subject to a late fee R600.00

4.FULL LIVERY INCLUDES:
Daily grooming and hoof care
Daily turn-out into paddocks
Daily feeding morning and night, all food and hay included in livery fee
Livery fee excludes any feed supplements that may be required or advised by vet or
farrier.
Daily mucking out of stables and the maintenance of stable bedding
Daily vet checks and wound care/dressing as required
Tack up of client horses within working hours
Pulling manes and trimming ears unless client specifies
Arrange vet and farrier, in terms of shoeing and trims as well as routine deworming
and inoculations.
5. FULL LIVERY EXCLUDES:
Vet and Farrier costs
Grooming kits
Hoof care, fly spray, dip and tick grease
Vaccinations and dewormer costs will be added to the livery bill one month in
advance, vet visit fees will be split between horses vaccinated or dewormed on the
day.
Fly masks
Plaiting, bathing and show preparation, this will be a separate cost to owner if groom
has to turn horse out.
No lunging, lessons or schooling of livery horses is included in monthly livery fee.
Lunging can be arranged at an extra cost.
6. DIY LIVERY INCLUDES
Sawdust
Daily grooming and hoof care
Daily turn-out into paddocks
Daily feeding morning and night
Tack up of client horses within working hours
Arrange vet and farrier, in terms of shoeing and trims as well as routine deworming
and inoculations.
Daily vet checks and wound care/dressing as required
Daily mucking out of stables and the maintenance of stable bedding
7. DIY LIVERY EXCLUDES
All concentrates, hay and supplements.
Vet and Farrier costs.

8. RISK OR LOSS
During the time that the horse (s) is/are in the custody of Uplands Equestrian Centre,
The Centre shall not be liable for any sickness, disease, theft, death, loss or injury
which may be suffered by the horse or rider or visitor. This includes, but is not limited
to, any personal injury or disability the horse may receive while at STABLE’s
premises.
9. EMERGENCY CARE
STABLE agrees to attempt to contact OWNER, at the following emergency
telephone number (________________), should STABLE feel that medical treatment
is needed for said horse (s),provided however, that in the event the STABLE is
unable to contact OWNER within a reasonable time, which time shall be judged and
determined solely by STABLE, STABLE is then hereby authorized to secure
emergency veterinary care and/or blacksmith care, and by any licensed providers of
such care who are selected by STABLE, as STABLE determines is
required for the health and well-being of said horse (s). The cost of such care
secured shall be due and payable by OWNER directly to emergency care provider.
10.STABLE RULES
Owner hereby acknowledges receipt and understanding of the current STABLE
Rules, which are incorporated by reference in full, as if fully set forth herein. OWNER
agrees he/she and his/her guests and invitees will be bound and abide by these
Rules, and accepts responsibility for the conduct of his guests and invitees according
to these Rules.
STABLE may revise these Rules from time to time and OWNER agrees any revision
shall have the same force and effect as current Rules. Failure, as determined in
STABLE’s sole discretion, of OWNER or OWNER’s guests and invitees to abide by
STABLE Rules may result in STABLE declaring OWNER in default hereunder and
result in termination of this AGREEMENT.
All stabling must be paid in full by the 1st of each month. A fine shall be issued as
stated in 2.2. Stabling fees not paid up in full within sixty days, Uplands Equestrian
Centre reserves the right to sell the horse and tack at its discretion for such price as
it shall obtain, being under no obligation to obtain the highest possible price.
Each horses passport shall be shown to the stable manager upon arrival and proof
given of prior vaccinations and deworming.
In the event of an accident where an owner cannot be contacted, Uplands
Equestrian Centre reserves the right to call an emergency vet and upon the vets
discretion and advice perform euthanasia upon injured animal.
Riders to ride in correct shoes and hard hat at all times.
I hereby accept all terms and conditions as set out in the above contract
