CURRICULUM AND PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
 Developed new pedagogy course, Dance Pedagogy I, in accordance with requirements from the
College of Education for students seeking certification in dance, 2009
 Expanded the dance history course to two semesters of study. Developed curriculum and materials for
Dance History I, 2008
 Developed dance program for community outreach at Rice University: “Keep on Dancing” (adult
modern and jazz), World Dance, Early Childhood classes, Ballroom Dance 2002- 2008
 Expanded dance curriculum at Rice University to include courses on world dance forms- Brazilian
Capoeira, Classical Indian Dance, and Middle Eastern Dance 2002-2004
 Developed UH course curriculum for, DAN 2307-Aesthetics of Movement and DAN 1205 Rhythm
Skills for the Classroom, then taught course content to Lecturer, Jacqueline Nalett, and mentored
her in the teaching of the courses and shared course materials. Mentored lecturer, Toni Valle, in
the teaching of DAN 2307- Aesthetics of Movement, as well.
