1979 -Bachelor of Arts ( Majors: History, Political Science, Mass Communications), Sophomore
Woman of the Year, Student Senate, Student Foundation, Phi Mu Sorority ,Kappa Alpha Belle,
President’s Award for Outstanding Female Student, Outstanding Alumni, Walk of Honor
recipient.
Teaching Experience
Northwest Academy: (1982-86) : Director/founder of Silver Spurs Drill Team, Newspaper
sponsor, World History and Government faculty. Faculty member of the year, Southern
Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, (presenter for first accreditation)
Alief Hastings High School: (1987-89)-Director of Alief Hastings Golden Brigade- 2 year
member of the Winner’s Circle, received numerous technique and choreography awards.

Laginappe (The Extra Good Stuff !)
I am a Former member of the Houston Jazz Ballet Company under the direction of Patsy
Swayze and Houston Music Theatre under the direction of Chris Wilson .I have been married
for 35 years to my wonderful husband, Larry. We are the proud parents of Justin and Carlynn.
Our children continue to write the story of our lives.
