March 16 to Conclusion, 2015

Please refer anyone requesting information on club events and our championships to our website (www.thenva.org).
There are a few items to note this year:
 Entries must be accompanied with the FDSB registered name of the dog. Please have your entry and check
submitted before the drawing. No dogs drawn without entry form and check.
 DNA certificate must be submitted to the American Field for the Wins to be recorded.
 A 32 Caliber Blank gun or 209 Primer Gun is required in all stakes.
 Please note: There will be NO wrangler this year
 The opening stake will be the Amateur Championship with the Derby Classic and National Championship to
follow. Based on past years, we expect the NACh to conclude Tuesday afternoon, the Derby into Thursday
morning, and the National Championship to conclude Saturday.
 Ray Cooper & Jim Blumentritt are donating Saddle Bags for the Derby Winner and Scabbard for the Runner-Up
in the Derby Classic.
 Jim Blumentritt & Jarrett Bell will donate “Montana Belt Buckles” to the 2015 NCh and 2015 NACh.
 The NVA has purchased a Christie Trooper saddle for the Raffle.
 “Extended” memberships to the NVA continue to be offered.
 Mark Johnson and Ray Cooper will sponsor the “Happy Hour” during the Derby Calcutta.
 Also, please note that the judge’s rooms in the clubhouse are reserved for judges.
 Everyone is encouraged to bring an item for the raffle on Thursday.
The championships will again be held at the Sportsmen’s Association grounds – a three-hour continuous course over 2800
acres of rolling hills with large open fields. The grounds continue to improve on a yearly basis partly with the help of the
“20th Century Fund”. Most of us already know about the great meals, the bunkhouse that sleeps 12 plus 4 judges, the 50run dog kennel, the two horse barns, and the horse turn-out pens. What we seem to be forgetting is that those using
electrical hook-ups are subject to a $5/day fee on a first come, first serve basis. Everyone is responsible for cleaning
up his or her area, stalls and dog kennels before leaving.
As we all know, it takes a great deal of hard work and cooperation to put on a successful Championship. We would like to
thank each person for all of your efforts and support in making our Championship as nice an event as possible. If there
are any questions, please feel free to email (Brian@FidlersFarm.com) or call (816-716-8127) me.
Hope to see you there,
Brian Fidler
