this weekend or during the week.
RACIAL JUSTICE: Thank you to all who gave to
the Diocesan collection last weekend for the Catholic
Association for Racial Justice. A total of £114.53 was
raised. This week there will be a retiring collection by
the parish S.V.P. Society; their last collection raised
£196.00 for which they pass on their thanks.

VOICE TRIALS FOR BOYS & GIRLS: Do you
know of any boy or girl with musical potential who
loves music and might like to sing in one of the
country’s top choirs?
We are looking for new
choristers between the ages of 7 & 10. New boys and
girls usually already have a love of singing and often
play a musical instrument.
Every new member is
offered free vocal and theory tuition and many former
choristers have gone on to become professional
musicians or gain music scholarships at university. A
structured rehearsal programme means that the time
commitment is far less than for other cathedral choirs,
particularly at the weekends. To find out more please
contact Mrs. Claudine Tat on 0113 244 8634 email:
music@leedscathedral.org.uk.
SAINTS THIS WEEK

Paul Chong Hasang and 101 other Korean martyrs
were canonised in 1984, representatives of the 10,000
Catholics, of all ages and social status, martyred in

preached the Faith in the East.
St. Pius of Pietrelcina: born on 25th May 1887, at the
age of sixteen he entered the novitiate of the Capuchin
Friars and was ordained priest in 1910. His ministry

the pain of many families, chiefly through the
foundation of the “House for the Relief of Suffering”.
He died in 1968.
