INFORMATION AND REGULATIONS Tournament Committee Chairman: Joe Law Referee: Control Desk: Sue Li Presented by Equipment Table & Net – Butterfly and JOOLA Balls – 40+ mm JOOLA 3 star Super-P, Butterfly 3 star, or other 40+ ball Eligibility − Eligibility for all ratings limited events (e.g. U-2000, i.e. less than 2000 rating points) and seeding in the draws are based on the VTTC LOWEST Ratings (if presents) or Table Tennis Canada ratings in July, 2015. In doubles, the ratings refer to the combined ratings of the pair. (This rating rule does not apply to MVTTL 2015 teammates of the respective division). − Doubles partners may not be changed. If one partner doesn’t show, the team will forfeit all matches for that night. − Individual players may not exceed 2400 ratings points for Division A, 1900 for Division B, and 1400 for Division C. − The Tournament Committee may estimate the rating of any unrated player or non-Canada rating at any time during the tournament and remove that player from any event for which such a rating would make the player ineligible. Format − Singles and doubles events will play one super round robin with a points top up system (e.g. if there are 15 players, 1st place gets 15 points, 2nd place gets 14 points etc.) − The individual player with the most points at the end of the tournament is the champion. − All matches will be best 3 of 5 games to 11 points. If there is a rating difference between 2 players/teams, the rule “300 rating points to 1 game point” up to a maximum of 5 game points will apply. − Maximum entries for each division is 15 players/teams. Priority is for current MVTTL 2015 players, and afterwards is first come first served. − Players will play approximately 3 matches per night until the round robin is finished. Rules − Latest ITTF rules will be in effect. − All rackets must be one side black and one side red with ITTF approved coverings. − If two or more players are tied for points at the end of the tournament, the tie-break will be decided in a round-robin consisting of only the players involved in the tie. − Tracksuit or any part thereof may not be worn during play except by special permission of the Referee. Athletic shorts and short sleeve playing shirt MUST be worn during match. Color of playing shirt must not be white or bright yellow. − Matches may be rescheduled under special circumstances. − The Tournament Committee reserves the right to cancel any event due to insufficient entries, and the right to adjust any event time slot due to space available. − The Tournament Committee will not be held liable for any unclaimed prizes and awards. − Due to the time restriction, the committee may CHANGE the rules and formats accordingly. − All decisions of the League Committee are final. UMPIRING − In general, players will be required to umpire their own matches.
