Name: ___________________________________ Period #: _______________ Project Due Date: February 6, 2012 Create Your Own Persuasive Advertisement Mini-Project Instructions: - In small groups, you and your partners will decide on a product to advertise to the class. You may choose an existing product or create your own (just make sure you run it by me for approval first). Make sure that if you choose an existing product, that you do not copy any of their existing commercials and that your idea is original. - Next, you will plan out your advertisement using the planning sheet provided. You must use both emotional appeal and strong supports, such as facts and statistics. You must also choose THREE other persuasive techniques to use in your ad. (See planning sheet) - For your project presentation, your group will create a story board of your commercial on Powerpoint or Publisher, showing images and descriptions of each scene in the commercial. The story board should have a minimum of 6 slides. A typed script must also be included. Each person in your group must have a job as the writer, the graphic designer, or the presenter. You will present your storyboard with your group to the class for a grade. ** When presenting, you also have the option of acting out your commercial with props or presenting a filmed version, but this is not a requirement. If you do this, the acted out or filmed version must be at least 30 seconds long.
