PERSONAL PROFILE:
I am a technician who is very passionate about his work and enjoys meeting new
challenges in the Telecommunications, Radio, Electronics and Railway Signaling field.
I have worked as a Signal Maintenance and Radio/Telecommunications Technician
for more than six years post apprenticeship with the National Railways of Zimbabwe.
I have managed to do all my work diligently and with little supervision. All my
sections are well maintained and faults are dealt with timeously and section down
time has been very minimal.
FUTURE CAREER OBJECTIVES:
To contribute my skills by working hard and with diligence in running an efficient
Railway signaling system and to develop my skills so as to keep abreast of any
technological advances within the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Perform regular preventative and scheduled maintenance on Signaling and
radio ,telecommunications equipment throughout the section * Locate and
prove faults by evaluating test readings or results obtained in relations to
nature of faults, design of units, purpose and function * Carry out
installation work of electrical, mechanical and electronic signaling
equipment in section by referring to the technical specifications of the
units, circuit diagrams and drawings.

FURTHER DUTIES:
1) Coming up with a daily work plan and drawing up maintenance schedules for
the day, week and month in advance.
2) Supervision of technical assistants and semi skilled technicians.
3) Performing stand-by duties when rostered.
4) Carrying out workshop repair of faulty railway signaling ,radio and
telecommunication systems as may be necessary.
5) Testing new equipment for compliance with safety and operational
specifications.
6) Training of apprentices on their field attachments.
