I am a founding Director of the Honors College at St. Petersburg College. SPC Honors
College was established in the 2003-2004 academic year.
My approach to building a strong and dynamic program included principles recommended by the National
Collegiate Honors Council.
I supported and promoted our program membership with main honors organization since its inception. I strongly advocate the importance of the honors education key pillars, such as honors program benefits, scholarships, curriculum design, to our institution administration. To insure and support our student success, I generously invest my efforts and time into mentoring students in their research and leadership endeavors through honors workshops, leadership and community opportunities, and individual sessions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, design, implement, oversee, and evaluate the Honors College/Honors program college-wide.
Develop, plan, and update Honors College/Honors program course material and evaluation standards.
Develop Honors College instructional and methodological materials for faculty, advisors/counselors, and students.
Advise Honors College/Honors Program students in program planning, course selection, and career guidance.
Supervises campus coordinators and honors advisors.
Communicate with the Honors Council, provosts/assistant provosts, program directors and faculty regarding programs’ policies, procedures, and personnel matters.
Develop and enhance the Honors College/Honors program’ students monitoring and communication systems.
Develop and implement a marketing plan for Honors College/Honors program.
Develop, manage, and monitors budget.
Develop, manage, and oversees Honors College scholarship program.
Develop relationships with universities’ honors programs nation-wide to enhance honors students transfer opportunities.
Participate as a member of various state, regional, and national honors associations.
