Executive Board of Directors Meeting Date: March 26, 2014
On Wednesday, March 26, 2014 the Executive Board of Directors Meeting of the California Law Enforcement Columbia
Association was held at the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club, 1630 Stockton Street, San Francisco.
Meeting called to order by Secretary Curcio at 1807 Hours.

Member Frank Wood was also present. All present signed in the Association Logbook. The Pledge of Allegiance was
recited.
READING OF MINUTES:
Minutes from the Executive Board of Directors Meeting on 2-27-14 were reviewed. SM Representative Gatto moved to
approve the minutes, seconded by Secty/Treas Curcio. Motion passed.
Election Results/Swearing in of Executive Officers
The election of Executive Board Members resulted in the re-election of all incumbent Board Members to another two year
term, noting that the positions of Secretary and Treasurer were combined, to be reviewed after one year. All members ran
unopposed.
President Pierini swore in Executive VP Steve Landi and 1 st Vice President Al Casciato to their new terms.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
President Pierini advised that Casino Night was held at SFIC on 3-15-2014. CLECA sponsored a table at the event at a cost
of $100. The event was successful and well attended.
It was noted that a 50’s Dinner Dance will be held at SFIAC on 3/22/14.
CLECA will be sponsoring a booth at Festa Italiano on September 13, 2014 and will be participating in the Columbus
Day/Italian Heritage Parade in October.
President Pierini requested that Secty/Treas Curcio distribute a copy of the updated CLECA Bylaws to all Board Members.

OLD BUSINESS
President Pierini stated he would be contacting the Legal Defense Divisions of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) and the
International Police Association to have their information posted on our website and available to CLECA members. This
might also increase the possibility of a presentation at the SF Police Academy.
He will also send the Italian Consulate General with our Mission Statement, a copy of our By Laws, and a list of our
Executive Board Members.
EXECUTIVE VP REPORT (Liaison with other Italian LE Groups):
Executive VP Landi advised that the National Council of Columbia Associations in Civil Service would be holding their
Annual Awards Dinner in Brooklyn, NY On May 1, 2014. He would get specific information regarding the event for
discussion about placing a CLECA congratulatory ad in their event brochure (as we did last year), and possibly sending a
CLECA representative to the event.
1st VP REPORT (Public Information and Communications):
VP Casciato noted that there are no major upcoming events.
2nd VP REPORT (Association and Other Events):
VP Corrales was excused from the meeting, however there are no major upcoming events
BYLAWS COMMITTEE:
Chairman Landi advised no new changes.
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE:
Chairman Curcio advised that most dues have been collected, but some Members are delinquent with dues, which were due
January 2014. Reminders will be sent out.
President Pierini requested a list of new Members 2013 and 2014 so he can provide them with pins and membership cards.
Secty/Treas Curcio advised she would provide him with said list. President Pierini stated Giovanni Corboletta, SFIAC
member, ex-PD and current VP of Investigations for Bank of America had expressed interest in becoming a member, as well
as SFIAC member William Palmini, Chief of UCSF Police. William has co-authored a book, “A Rookie Cop vs. the West
Coast Mafia” available at Amazon. Pierini stated that he would be speaking with both gentlemen regarding joining CLECA.
1st VP Casciato advised that a new applicant, Jack Dominiconi Balllentine, was current with dues and would complete his
application. Ballentine is a retired SFPD Lt. and is a Full Voting Member. Jack will be joining us later at dinner.
RECOGNITION COMMITTEE:
No new recognition events are noted.
FINANCE COMMITTEE:
Our balance hovers around $1550.00. President Pierini stated that he was talking with Lou Pinotti, CPA, regardeing IRS
issues. We will be filing tax documents this year as a non-profit organization. As such, we are required to file a 990-N every
3 years. Problems with our tax number precluded our ability to file electronically.
President Pierini stated he would retain our account with the SF Police Credit Union, but would also open up a more
conveniently accessible account at a local Bank of America.
NEW BUSINESS:
No new business at this time.
NEXT MEETING:
Our next meeting will be Thursday, April 24th, 2014 at SFIAC, 1630 Stockton St., SF.
Motion to adjourn meeting made by Gatto, second by Landi at 1855 hours.
