McCoy Bolt Works, Inc. announced the receipt of certification to ISO 14001:2004 standards for
Environmental Management. The certification recognizes a key milestone in the company’s efforts to
continuously improve the management system regarding environmental impact.
The company further announced that the costs involved in achieving the certification will be largely
offset by cost savings from projects implemented during the certification effort. This effort was a “win”
for everyone, in that the focus and change introduced in better managing environmental impact also
generates real cost savings for the company. In that regard, the company improves as a contributing
member of the community, the community benefits from an improved environmental impact, and the
company saves money which can be used more productively elsewhere.
