COURSE AIMS:
This two and a half day course aims to provide Traffic Engineers with the knowledge and practical skills
required to install commission and maintain ANPR cameras in terms of equipment identification, operation
and maintenance.
PREREQUISITES:
Attendees should be qualified in an electronics discipline, be computer literate and must have a working
knowledge of MS Windows
ASSESSMENT:
The Training & Assessment Centre can provide a summative assessment for each individual attendee. The
current grading structure can also be made available upon request.
OBJECTIVES:
On completion of the course attendees will be able to:
 Explain the principles of ANPR
 Describe the functions of an ANPR system.
 Identify the equipment.
 Correctly install the equipment.
 Carry out commissioning of the equipment.
 Diagnose and rectify faults with the equipment.
COURSE TOPICS:
 Principles of ANPR
 ANPR facilities and related equipment.
 Full Hardware descriptions to unit level.
 On-site hardware installation.
 Equipment commissioning.
 Fault diagnosis and rectification to unit level.
PRACTICAL:
To enable maximum learning and benefit from this course, there will a number of practical sessions and
exercises.
