Your agency or Corporate client negotiates rates with hotel(s) 2. Agencies with multiple outlets will determine which PCC (Pseudo City Codes) will participate in the Multilevel rate program with a particular chain or hotel property. 3. The company or agency contacts the hotel property to request the rates be made available in Galileo providing all the information like rate access code and PCC to be authorised (A example Fax/email template is provided at the end of this document) 4. The property loads the rates into their local rate system (CRS). Then the property contacts their central GDS department to complete the rate loading so the rate can be made available for booking in Galileo 5. If a Rate access code is unknown The Hotel chain GDS department contacts Helpdesk department to establish a rate access code. ATLVHD@Galileo.com - - Only one RAC (RATE Access Code) is permitted per company. If a RAC code is already established for the company requested the Helpdesk chain will tell the hotel chain what code to use. If the company does not have a rate access code yet the Helpdesk will assign one. Note: During the negotiation process, alternate rate access codes can be listed, in case the requested rate access code is not available for us. 6. The helpdesk completes the rate connection in Galileo 7. The hotel chain or property advises you that the Multilevel rates are loaded and available for sale in Galileo when you use the applicate rate code in the request. Troubleshooting Why can’t I see my negotiated rates in Galileo? If you do not see your negotiated rates in Galileo one of the following problems may exist: You may be using the wrong Rate Access Code (RAC) The hotel property may still need to load the rates The hotel property may have loaded the rates incorrectly, or forgot to notify the GDS Helpdesk to load the rates into Galileo The hotel chain may still need to load the Pseudo city information, or may have loaded your PCC incorrectly Note: Although you may have negotiated a rate with a specific hotel property, and not the chain, the GDS Helpdesk is responsible for maintaining the negotiated rate information Troubleshooting options: To troubleshoot missing Multilevel rates 1. Check first with the property to ensure they have loaded the rate. Be sure they specifically loaded it to be available through Galileo. If not, email your request to the hotel property. 2. If the property says the rate is loaded, but you still cannot see it, contact the chain for assistance. Most hotel chains now provide contact information which can be found in the Multilevel keyword (MULT) in RoomMaster Note: the chain usually requires authorisation from the property to load rates and cannot load a rate on your request. However, they can help you determine why the rate is not viewable in Galileo. Ask them to - Investigate and see if the rate was loaded correctly byt the property - Confirm that your Pseudo City Codes(PCC) was entered correctly - Confirm what RAC code you should be using After this call, you may still need to contact the property agin to ask them to make a correction. The hotel chain may offer to help you with this as well. What do I do if I’m still unable to resolve the problem or don’t get a response from a chain/property?
