What is Miniature Art?
Miniature art is most often extremely detailed work, exquisite in color with strength of
composition, which can more than compete with larger paintings. A compositional
guide requires a gentle, no more than 1/6th scale of the actual subject.
On the practical side, miniature art, with its minimal space requirements and favorable
cost comparisons, places original fine art within the reach of both art lovers and
collectors.
TONE Art Society of Bangladesh is one of a number of non-profit groups in the
Bangladesh in contemporary miniaturism.
Founded in 1987 in Dhaka, Founder President is Khalid Mahmood Mithu.
WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES?
The Society encourages artists to become involved in the exciting world of miniaturism.
It seeks to broaden the awareness of the public and collectors to the delicate beauty
and refinement of this venerable art form. Its scholarship efforts assist talented young
artists of the future including national and international art contest and Life Time
Achievement Award.
REGULATIONS
01: Our Next exhibition will be on mid of November 2015.
02: Painting size: Maximum : 12.5 x 12.5 cm.
Smaller any size can be submitted.
02B: Sculpture may not exceed 8” x 8” x 8” including base and must be firmly attached
to
the base or stand freely if no base is needed.
03: Last Date for the artwork submission 15 September 2015.
04: For only foreign Artist I am requesting to send their art works with out
frame. We will make the frame in Bangladesh. So that we can save our posting cost
and
custom office and tax problem.

05: One artist can submit maximum 3 art works.
06: Medium is free. But Jewelry, crafts, functional work, photographic work or
computer
techniques will NOT be accepted.
07: Title, Medium, Size, Name of artist, Country and Price should be written
on the back of the each art works.
08: Entry Form should be sign and post with the art works.
09: Entry Fee: US$ 40.oo

10: Sale commission : Organizer & Gallery percentage 50% and artist will
get 50% from the sale price.
Art submission costs:
The submitting party shall bear the costs of sending the artworks to exhibition
authority along with the duly filled out and signed entry form.

A: Grand Award: Cash US $ 1250.oo, Trophy and certificate.
Six (6) Best awards will be given on different section & medium.
B: Best Figure painting, Trophy, cash award and certificate.
C: Best Portrait, Trophy, cash award and certificate.
D: Best Print making, Trophy, cash award and certificate.
E: Best Sculpture, Trophy, cash award and certificate.
F: Best Experiential: Trophy, cash award and certificate.
G: Best Landscape: Trophy, cash award and certificate.
