NSSSSA Annual Fishing Competition Blake Hall Fisheries Wednesday 23rd September 2015 Eight students from the Meadows School took part in a fishing competition organised by STAR Angling at Blake Hall Fisheries in Cheadle. This event is held annually to mark the end on the fishing season. Two schools competed for the trophy, Watermill and us. At the end of the afternoon when the fish were weighed in we had caught 46lbs and Watermill 20lb. We won not only the overall trophy, but also best weight of the day. Josh Pointon weighed in at 15lb,1oz with Kira Harris a close second at 11lb,12oz. The largest fish of the day was caught by Desmond Woo! Well done everyone. We are just waiting for last year’s winners Watermill to drop off the trophy so it can once again grace our trophy cabinet for the coming year. Pictures left to right : Joshua holding the trophy for the largest weigh of the day; the competitors lined up next to our new ‘Lord Taverners’ minibus; Desmond with the day’s biggest single weigh.
