For Immediate Release Frankfurt/London, 5th December 2006 Hans W Reich to join Citigroup Public Sector Group Citigroup has appointed Hans W. Reich as Chairman of its Public Sector Group for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Mr Reich, who will be based in Frankfurt, will take up his position in January 2007. As part of his responsibilities Mr. Reich will also chair Citigroup's Privatisation Steering Committee consisting of senior government bankers and investment banking professionals. Mr Reich retired as Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of KFW Bankengruppe, Frankfurt, in September 2006, after 40 years. He had been a member of the Board of Managing Directors of KFW since 1990 and chaired the Board since 1999. Mr Reich is already a member of Citigroup’s International Advisory Board, a group of business, financial and former government leaders that advises on strategic questions related to economics, the political and social environment and business development. Mr Reich is also a member of the supervisory boards of: Aareal Bank AG, Wiesbaden (Chairman); DePfa Bank plc, Dublin; HUK-COBURG Versicherungsgruppe, Coburg; and ThyssenKrupp Steel AG, Duisburg.
