Summary (POV)
The cartoon shows that the supreme court oversees the other two branches, the executive and the
legislative, to make sure the laws passed and executed are according to the constitution. In the cartoon,
the judicial branch is represented by referees and they make sure that two “teams,” which are always
opposing each other, are playing according to the rules and are doing what they are expected to.
