ELIGIBILITY:
A) FOR SENIOR RESIDENTS:
i.Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned primary subject from a recognized University.(For Status
of recognition PG Degree / Diploma must have been incorporated in the DMC certificate. In case this has

not be incorporated the candidate would have to submit a letter from MCI stating that the Post graduate
degree / Diploma is recognized
ii. Registration with Delhi Medical Council is compulsory. Candidates who have completed Three years of
Senior residency will not be considered. The candidates applying for the Post of Senior Residency will
have to give a written undertaking to this effect.
iii.That in the event adequate number of candidates with requisite specialty qualification are not available in
any particular specialty, the candidates having MBBS Degree with 2 years experience in MCI Recognized
Hospital/Institute with minimum bed strength of 100 beds and having all basic specialties, out of which 01
year should be in the concerned specialty
iv.Age limit 35 years as in the first day of January of the concerned year i.e. 01.01.2011. Standard age
relaxation will be applicable of SC / ST and OBC candidates
B) FOR JUNIOR RESIDENT:
i.MBBS/BDS from a recognized University. In case of graduation from foreign universities, they must have
cleared the (FMG) examination conducted by National Board of Examinations. Marks obtained in the
FMG examination would be the basis of weight age given for academic qualification for foreign
graduates
ii.Must be registered with Delhi Medical Council/DCI.
iii.Must have completed internship by the date of publication of this notice.
iv.Age limit 30 years as in the first day of January of the concerned year i.e. 01.01.2011. Standard age
relaxation will be applicable for SC / ST and OBC candidates
EMOLUMENTS:1.
For Senior Residents Rs. 18,750/-+ G.P. Rs. 6,600/- + other allowances as admissible for PG Degree
holders.
2.
For Junior Residents Rs. 15,600/- +G.P. Rs. 5,400/- + other allowances as admissible.
CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:1.
Appointment will be initially for a period of one year extendable up to 03 years in case of Senior
Residents and 06 months extendable up to 01 year in case of Junior Resident. Extension is subject to
satisfactory work and conduct. JR ship in Dental Department is for 06 months only.
2.
Appointment will be subject to Medical Fitness and Verification of Certificate of Educational
Qualification/Age/Caste/DMC Registration and Internship Completion Certificate & submission of
HEPATITIS B VACCINATION CERTIFICATE
3.
Category wise panel will be prepared for Senior Residents and Junior Residents for further vacancies.
4.
The candidates applying for OBC Category should furnish the OBC Certificate issued by the
Competent Authority of GNCT of Delhi.
5.
In case of non availability of SC/ST/OBC Category Candidates, the posts shall be filled up on 89 days
on Ad-hoc Basis from General Category and vice-a-versa.
6.
Reservation of various Categories of posts will be as per rule.
7.
The number of vacancies indicated above may vary.
METHOD OF SELECTION:-
The eligible Candidates will be short listed on the basis of their academic
qualifications and experience and requirements of the hospital. If large numbers of application are there,

candidates are short listed in the ratio of 1: 5 and called for the interview. The short listed Candidates will be
called for interview for which the intimation will be sent to the Individual Candidates by email .
For each Hospital separate application to be filed online except for JR in Dental. The application for JR
Dental is to be forwarded to HRH only.
A Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- should be prepared, details of which needs to be submitted on line at the
time of filing of each application. The draft is to be payable at Delhi and addressed to Medical
Superintendents of concerned Hospital. At the time of interview the DD shall be submitted in the office of
MS of concerned hospital. SC/ST Candidates are exempted from payment of fee of Rs. 200/-. Last Date of
submission of the application online is on or before 10th June 2011.
NOTE:

You are required to bring original copies of the documents substantiating your qualifications,
Marks, Professional registration, experience, age and category. For OBC, certificate issued from
Delhi state alone will be valid.

You are also requested to down load the final copy of the application submitted online and bring
the same when called for interview.

If eligible qualifying candidates are not available in any of the category the posts will be filled on
ad-hoc basis (89 days) form the panel of candidates found qualifying.

A copy of the passport size photo which is uploaded on to the online application also should be
submitted.

Submission of false information and forged documents will invite rejection, even after appearing
for the interview and may invite appropriate penal action.

The decision of the duly constituted board will be final.
Legal Disputes if any shall be entertained in the courts of Delhi only.
