‘Bald Eagles’ Baldy Swoops to Victory !
Stoozie’s forgot the pictures again so here’s a photo of the Bald Eagle with a bird
With the unusual sight of Graham McDonald actually making an appearance, we were all treated to an
exhibition of consistent high quality golf. Unfortunately, this was also accompanied by the usual low quality
patter. It was also a pleasure to see Bully making a comeback and his 2nd place in the Tri-am shows that BoB
and Lofty must have been playing out of their skin.
Full results are shown in the “Killer Bill” Section, however let’s all give Baldy the respect he deserves.
Bald Man Elected “Bar Slave”
Following an unannounced no-show at the 2004 Thistle, Graham “Baldy” McDonald was unanimously elected
Bar Slave by his peer group. Voting members said afterwards that “he’s a bald git” and “Baldy’s overall should
really say Bar Steward” (or something like that).
Less Bald Man Not Turning Up Puts Loadsawine on Table
Delboy, who unfortunately was unable to make it this year, nevertheless made sure that Absent Friends weren’t
forgotten by very kindly placing 8 bottles of wine on the dinner table. Someone was later overheard saying “I
don’t remember that other bald git getting the wine in last year when he didn’t show”.
Bald Man Assumes That Blokes With Hair Need Hats
The merchandising officer BB MacGregor was mortified to find his position usurped when Baldy arrived with a
pile of bespoke headgear for all Thistle Golfers. BB said “I wish I’d thought of that – I really am a dobber.
Still, things can’t get any worse this weekend now that Andy’s here”
PJC forced to admit “I’ve got more hair than Baldy” in Shock Restructure
Following the surprise departure of Bill Lindsay last year, Corporate announced this week that the job of top
dog would not go to big Rachel from Granton, but to PJC. Best known for his involvement in the Wigs’R’Us
MBO, Peter surprised everybody by announcing that he wasn’t bald but got one of his lackeys to shave his head
regularly. “I can’t say who the mystery barber is” quipped Peter “but let’s just say he models my hairstyle on
his own”.
Thistle Champ Seen Buying Toiletries
Thistle special correspondent, Jean Size, yesterday saw Graham McDonald in Boots buying shaving cream, a
razor, aftershave and some vaseline.
Non Baldy News
“Tyree House” Scrabble Competition

KILLER BILL II – Notes from the Hon Sec!
I attach a full breakdown of all the results.
It just occurred to me that we did not award The President's Trophy this
year. No one seemed to bring it along! We could award it retrospectively, and
you could announce the winner in the next Ready Golf Issue? Alternatively, we
could just forget it this year?
What do you think?
