What is Liberty Station?
Formerly a Naval Training Center, Liberty Station is a historically significant area of San
Diego and is located on the waterfront in the heart of Point Loma. The 360 acre space
features wonderful Spanish Colonial Revival architecture and has developed into a
growing mixed-use community with many districts.
The districts include a promenade with venues for private and public events; an
educational district with five high schools, two middle schools, and one elementary
school; a residential district with both public and military housing; a hotel district; office
district; waterfront parks and playgrounds; a retail and commercial district featuring
hundreds of businesses, and much more.
