Most of the homework assignments will be assigned on MyLab, but occasionally there will other type of assignments. Students may discuss the homework problems with each other but each student should submit their answers individually. No late homework is accepted unless extreme circumstances. Activities: There will be 4 in-class/out-of–class activities, 10 points each. Attendance: You are expected to attend all classes and to arrive on time. If you miss a class, you are responsible for all material and announcements covered in class on that day. Attendance may be taken in the form of quizzes, which will occur either at the beginning or the end of lectures. 10 points will be distributed throughout the semester. Tests and the Final Exam: There will be 3 in-class midterm tests, 50 points each, and a comprehensive Final exam, worth 100 points. Midterm tests will be cumulative with more emphasis on the most recent materials. Make-up exams will be considered only in extreme circumstances and documentation will be required. Also, you must notify me prior to the exam or the day of the exam if you think your situation merits a make-up. If you miss an exam for a valid reason but do not notify me of your situation in a timely manner (prior to or the day of the exam), then you will receive a zero on the exam. Individual work is required on exams.
