To All Scholarship Applicants:
The Harford County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America is offering five
conservation scholarships, the John S. Smith Memorial Conservation Scholarship, Robert Leach
Memorial Conservation Scholarship, Robert Huddleston Memorial Conservation Scholarship
and two Harford County Chapter of the IWLA Conservation Scholarships, in the amount of
$1,000 each. These scholarships are available to Harford County High School seniors who plan
to pursue a career in conservation, environmental studies, or education regarding our natural
resources. In the past twenty-four years we have given sixty-four scholarships to graduating
seniors.
Application should be made by March 24, 2016, using the attached application and
should include the following as described on the attached application: a statement of
environmental experiences, statement of goals and objectives, list of non-environmental
activities, letter of reference, and official high school transcript.
